Your cart is empty.Sennelier's Extra-Soft Pastels were created over a period of three years at the turn of the 20th century and the result was the creation of one of the largest chromatic range of pastels. These pastels are comfortable to hold and allow for large areas to be covered with a lush, luxurious color. Each pastel is composed of a natural transparent binder. For gradient shades, increasing amounts of mineral fines are added, ultimately tending towards white. The exceptional brightness is the result of the pigment and the natural mineral fines discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and that have been used ever since. The manufacturing process of the Sennelier cylindrical pastel does not compress the paste. Each half stick measures 1-1/4" long x 1/2" in diameter. These 6-Stick Sets are peggable and compact.

Both the Seaside 6 ea pack and Emerald Sea arrived today.The sight, feel, and play of colors on paper are glorious. These are the first Sennelier extra-soft pastels I have had the luxury of holding in my hand.We all have texture preferences - soft, hard, or somewhere in the middle. My preference is the velvety soft of the extra soft Sennelier pastel. I have multiple other soft pastels on shelves and in drawers.I wish I had spent the money on previous purchases and instead bought the largest set of thesepastels. Little by little I will add to my collection. If intensity of color and velvety feel are what you are looking for start with this brand first, Sennelier extra-soft pastels, before you experiment with others.They are an investment in your art experience. I’m not sure where in the handling the pastels were damaged, but as anyone who uses soft pastels realizes, they are delicate and need to be handled with care. They are extra soft pastels after all. The colors are rich and would be a good addition to my collection. I had planned to order additional sets based on these, but now I’m on the fence. I hope this is a one off.

The quality is horrible. It feels dry, crumbly and chalky. There is no glide and it doesn't compare to my other Sennelier pieces. I'm really disappointed. Color is fantastic, but it feels like street chalk.

These are a joy to use. I’m new to pastels and a new art student. I was advised to get these if I could. They’re expensive, but now that I’ve bought the small 6 piece pack I have ordered the 120 half sticks. I think they’re going to change my life. lol.

These arrived dry and dusty & when I applied them to paper they resemble working with Chalk- dry, dusty, crumbly. Need a hand-held vacuum nearby. No soft texture, terrible quality, not typical of Sennelier brand.

For the price and how long they took to arrive I really hoped to be more impressed with these... Unfortunately they appear to have been used and half the red is worn down. The piece isn't broken off at the bottom of the box. The white is worn down too.

Questi pastelli sembranl fatti di burro per quanto sono morbidi e si sfumano bene fra di loro.Il prezzo purtroppo è molto elevato, non per tutti.
