I have a couple of older drum sets I'm refurbishing with the old metal hoops on the bass drums that have that groove manufactured into them. Most pedals don't clamp tight enough to keep from slipping and moving while playing. So, I've tried these... they're OK, but they don't stick that well. I've tried cutting them in half, so they sit down into the grove better, but unless you're really careful when you take or pedal on and off, you're going to cause the rubber guard to come off too. I think it needs better adhesion. I might try adding some gorilla glue or super glue and see if that will help hold it more securely. Drum on!
