I actually don't use this for fabrics, I draw with them. They are great to use with pencil drawings. The white works well for highlights.I would like to add that they were very well packaged as none of the leads were broken when it arrived.

This "lead" is .9mm and works in any .9mm generic mechanical pencil (cheaper). It leaves a fine mark which is great for cutting fabric, but it can be a little tricky to get the pressure right for laying down a visible line. The black is easy but harder to erase (I assume it will rinse out). The white is barely visible unless you're using a very dark fabric-- a little annoying to me as I was hoping to replace white chalk. I went through the leads very quickly trying to figure out the pressure. The pink is good and visible, but, again, I gotta hope it washes out. All in all a winner, but I think I will still keep a junky thick chalk around in addition to these.

This pencil is one of my favorite sewing and quilting marking tools. These refills are super convenient when you have used your chalk lead up. I use this lead on dark and light fabrics because there are white, black and pink refills.
