It took a bit to figure out how to use it. Don't forget to put the top on the hopper or expect a really big mess. The instructions do not tell you where to set the grind selector for particular grinds. The grind selector is not numbered anyway. I find the 4th largest dot seems to give me a nice grind that is comparable to commercially ground coffee. these burr grinders produce a far more consistent grind than the blade types. Blade types produce dust, chunks and everything in-between. Burrs produce all one size. This is because once a bit is ground, it drops down into the hopper, and isn't kept in a chamber where it gets recut over and over again.

I set the grind to very coarse for a french press and about 75% of the beans are ground coarse but there are always large clumps of very fine powder mixed in. Also the amount of coffee varies wildly while on the same number setting. Sometimes I will have to run it twice to get the right amount and then the next time it grinds way too much even though I haven’t moved the quantity dial. Also it produces so much static electricity that the ground coffee will stick to the container and jump out to attach to everything it gets close to. I should have gotten a manual grinder.

It clogs up and needs to be cleaned just about every use where my old Burr grinder would go for a month before I would have to disassemble it and clean it. Not real happy with it,...

Was somewhat disappointed in this grinder. A lot of coffee spilled out of container when making coffee
