I was looking for a smaller dial indicator to mount in the tool post of my Sherline lathe. This one is a perfect size, nicely proportional, not out of place. Comparing it to known and trusted indicators it is spot on, very smooth movement and easy to read. What's not to love?

This little guy is fantastic because it's small. Mounted in a block on a toolholder, it's great on the lathe to dial in stuff. I've got a 2nd on one order now! Shars can be hit or miss, but when it comes to cheap chinese gear, they are probably one of the better ones.

Picked this specific model up as I downloaded an STL to 3d print an AXA indicator holder. While I was waiting on this to arrive, I noticed that one of my Fowler indicators also fit the same profile. Now I am able to easily indicate on 2 axis of my lathe as I have one mounted in printed holders for each face and that is their only job now.For the price, I have no complaints on fit/finish or accuracy. I have a Smithy 3 in 1 Granite max and am not doing aerospace tolerances.

I like the smaller size and weight of this indicator. Less sag when dialing in a bore on a horizontal mill

This was shipped in a bubble-wrap envelope. Thankfully, the indicator comes in a plastic box, as it had evidence of being dropped. The tool operates smoothly and has no loose parts, so it's probably fine, but I will not order measurement tools like this from Amazon again.
