These are some of the best split ring pliers I have tried, they also cut braid very well. I need to buy a second pair.

Great product, I’ve just replaced most of my treble hooks gearing up for the next season. There are two versions of this, this one has a bent nose which in my opinion makes it easier to use in my opinion. Unfortunately it does not do well with smaller split rings for my freshwater setups.

I fish offshore for tua and other species, This requires heavy duty pliers for weight rated split rings. these are the best pliers I have found. I have tried other pliers. I like the sign of the tip to insert into the rings.

As someone who does lots of saltwater fishing for red drum, black drum, and big cats, I tend to use heavy leader leaders lb test. I needed something that could not only open #5 split rings but cut through a 50 lb test braid.

I had been using the cheaper white Rapala Salt Angler for years. Which worked fine for the smaller rings. Started with SoCal long range trips and had to beef up the hooks and rings on the stock jigs and flat falls for tuna. Rapalas were horrible with the size 8,9,10 rings. These Shimano's did the trick. Used by several anglers while on a recent 3 day BFT trip. I just left them on my bag for guys to use. Been through a couple hundred beefy rings and still going like new, no tip wear. Little cleaning and lube after the trip and they are ready for the next one.

These are very high quality split ring pliers. They do an excellent job on heavy duty split rings. If you tend to upgrade your hooks on saltwater jigs (everyone does for SoCal Bluefin) you need these.

今まで細軸のフックを付けてたので問題なくフックを付けてたが、もう少し大型を狙うのに太軸のフックを付けようとしたら全く開かずフックが付けられなかった。これだと軽い力で簡単に付けることが出来た。先が真っすぐなプライヤーばかり使ってたが、これは先が少し左に曲がってるので使いにくかったが慣れれば逆に使いやすいかもしれない。もっと早く購入してれば良かったと思った。

60gや80g程度のプラグを使用するためのスプリットリング用に購入。しっかりとした作りで気持ちよく使えてます。さすがのシマノです。
