I have these reels in a few sizes and they all work well, are smooth to reel and have smooth drags. Easy to take apart to maintain. It would be a hard sell to upgrade from these to a.ore expensive model. I'd rather save in the reel and have a higher quality rod.

I saltwater fish with my son and other kids often. We wade fish, that means sometimes the kids dunk the reel on accident, big wave comes. And that’s okay. These reels are light, easy to maintain and if you clean well after being accidentally dunked in saltwater you’ll get years of use out of them.

This is a great reel for the price point. Just finished coming back from camping using this reel w/a med action Shimano FX 6ft rod. Caught my trout limit by 11 on day 1 and by 1130 on day 2. Very smooth, long casting reel, w/anti reverse. Buy it!

I like the body paint and its style. Reeling is not so smooth as what I am expected. The diameter of the bail is maybe half the size of other reels, and it looks like an ordinary wire use for construction.
