These have doubled in price since America's Test Kitchen rated them the best a few years ago, but it's easy to see why they rate highly. These are sharp, tough, well-made and can be taken apart for cleaning. I threw away the dollar-store kitchen shears we had accumulated and haven't run into anything these can't handle. If you need good kitchen years you cannot go wrong with these.

These kitchen shears cut paper very well with no tearing. They cut upholstery fabric with ease and make a clean cut. Cutting cardboard was easy without exerting a lot of force. Cutting bacon was simple without the bacon slipping. Cutting a chicken along both sides of the backbone and thru the rib bones was easy. The shears are very well made but expensive, so if your budget allows it, buy them instead of cheap one costing under $20.

Shun products rarely disappoint. This pair of kitchen shears is not cheap, but it is the best pair I have ever purchased and it feels like it will last a long time. The are sharp enough to use to spatchcock a chicken and then remove the small rib bones. I use them so much, I bought a second pair.

Someone lost my Cutco shears, so I replaced them with these. They are great kitchen shears for a reasonable price. Cutco is the best, but the price is silly. These are just wonderful. They are heavy duty, sharp and I can take them apart to wash by hand or in the dishwasher.

These are great kitchen shears. They are sharp and the length of the blade is perfect for cutting the spine out of chicken to butterfly it. I only use these for cutting chicken. They stay sharp for a long time even after cutting raw chicken bones

Great Scissors for cutting my meats for Stews and Soups.I purchase ordered in England from the Company in the USA and the Scissors arrived with no problems.I chop meats into small pieces into a pot and Hawkins Pressure Cooker them into a great Stew in short time, like 15 minutes.Great for at home, and whilst Camping. As a big home cook, I've been slowly piecing together better quality and these shears from Shun / Kershaw caught my eye after America's Test Kitchen reviewed them.Build Quality: Well built, no wiggle room from the notch that locks the two blades together. There is a visible seam on the outer edges and quite a bit feature-wise built in.Sharpness: Very sharp, but oddly not the sharpest I've used out of the box. On regular stock white 8.5x11" paper it can glide (push cut through without chomping through) fairly easily but needs to be positioned with leverage to do so instead of easily gliding. Cuts through chicken like no one's business and the bone notch along the blade is interesting, but I'm not sure it helped.Cost: Being on sale, it's an easy no brainer buy for an enthusiast who wants to invest in something they can keep for a very long time and it's worth sharpening!
