The mount came with very clear instructions on how to install the mount, and is very easy to install. The material is a plastic but is very durable and looks nice when installed. It's a decent size for a normal size outside light.

This is a nice small mounting block for outdoor lights, that comes with everything you need to install minus the power tools. The built in electrical makes it extra easy, and that's not something included with every mounting block. The black color goes great with black lights. I would get this again if needed. It was an all in one solution.

I did not use this on siding but instead as part of a fix to replace an outdated, fluorescent fixture in an apartment closet. Pulling the old fixture out showed wiring with no electrical box and a messy hole in the wall so I needed some way to enclose and mount a simple LED light for the closet. This attached well to the wall, covering the hole and allowing me to pull the wiring into the wiring block and install my light. The backside shape/step to accommodate siding isn't needed for my flat wall fix but this will do.The materials are complete and sturdy.

It's good solid piece of mounting material with pre-drilled holes. easy to use, just didn't work out for my outdoor lighting die to the shape I picked, unfortunately. Built in electrical box. Functional for sure just choose your size. I needed a square shape.

This mounting kit is exactly as described and works perfectly for my needs. Included everything I need to mount a light on my vinyl siding.
