This is the exact tubing needed for the Membrane Solutions or similar personal water filter straw type filter. This tubing works well with the inline shutoff plastic clip. The other tubing is too thick and not flexible enough for the shutoff clip.

More flexible than the standard 3/8"x1/4" hoses, but stiff enough in use. Attaches perfectly to Sawyer water filters. I'll be using this size in the future instead of the standard 3/8" tubes. These pack up much smaller for backpacking.

Bought this to use with a gravity-fed water filtration system for backpacking. The inside diameter fit with my connectors for in-line valves, reservoirs and Sawyer Squeeze filter. I like that it can be rolled up in a stuff sack without causing permanent kinks. Just have to be sure it is straight when used or else it can squeeze shut and not allow water to pass. Also, the outside surface is pretty soft, so over time I think it may get pretty dirty. Will have to wait and see.

I am using this with a small transfer pump. It is soft and supple, but doesn't kink under normal use. It is working perfectly for my application and is exactly what I hoped it would be. Very happy.

I did not realize this would be so stretchy. In my application, I connected a water pump outlet to the water filter. When turning this on the first time the hose turned into a balloon! Scared me a bit. Worked around it by enclosing it into another piece of plastic tube.So... not good for any pressurized applications. Very thin walls. Not really cheap. Otherwise... OK. At least it did not rupture. Maybe good for balloons?

Used this tubing to replace split tubing inside a stainless steel shower hose. The tubing is very flexible, should be durable and performs well when I installed it correctly. I used a longer length than the original tubing, making the 6 foot hose into a 7 foot hose. The longer length makes it easier to use my handheld shower while sitting in a shower chair.
