Our dogs totally ignored the Pee Post and would not urinate anywhere near it. Other reviewers complained about the Pee Post not working, as well. We are returning this item.We were unable to contact the company on the phone number provided to complain. They are not taking live calls and the company's voicemail says they are closed even though it is posted as their normal work hours. The whole thing seems suspicious and smells like a SCAM! Do not buy this product!!!

Every dog (and trainer) is different but the Pee Post is working to retrain my 4 year old Golden Retriever. He was killing my grass in the area of the yard that he frequently urinated. I placed the Pee Post in the pine mulch around a Palm tree where I wanted him to start urinating. It has a very strong smell of urine. The next time he needed to go out, I put him on a leach and took him straight to the Pee Post and gave him his normal command to “go potty”. He smelled it, lifted his leg, and peed on it. I then gave him praise saying “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” I then brought him back in the house to get him a treat all while repeating the new command “good boy, go pee pee on the tree!” For the next three days I kept him on a leach when letting him out and gave the new command, “go pee pee on the tree”. After 3 days I began letting him out without a leach but pointed to the tree while still giving him the new command. It has been 3 weeks now. He has had a few times where he started peeing on the grass but I just gave him a strong “NO” command and repeated the new command. I would say he is about 90% retrained at this point proving you can teach an old dog new tricks! (With a little help from the Pee Post.)

Waste of money. Dog just sniffed it and walked by it. Even purchased a spray. Neither worked. Totally waste of money. It was like lighting a match to dollar bills. Very disappointing.

Good idea but unfortunately my dogs wouldn’t use it. We have wanted to direct them to pee in an area away from our daughters play stuff. He ended up ripping it up and chewing on it.

I installed the pee post in the hope that it would encourage my labradoodle to do her duty outside. She sniffed it initially, walked around the yard, went back to smell it each time she was taken out, only to return inside and do her duty there! She has no interest in even being near it any longer. I even took the pee pads outside for her to use near the pee post, but nothing doing! Upon entering the house, she went directly to her pads, and did her duty!I wouldn't waste the time or money in this product, especially if a dog hasn't already been trained to go outside.

We put this out in the yard as instructed and it just didn’t work. I’ve asked the kids and my neighbor Doug all to pee on it so to set a good example for our puppy and he has no interest in it what so ever. Total waste of my hard earned money.

Amy just looked at this thing and said "What the heck are you?" and walked away....without going potty! We've had it on her puppy pad for a couple of months now and she just ignores it and potties wherever she wants (outside)! Would I buy it again? Nope!

I have a Chinese Crested dog and for anyone familiar with this breed knows they are VERY sensitive with their bathroom needs. If it's too cold...won't pee outside. If it's too muddy...won't pee outside. If the area has already been marked enough times...won't pee at all in that area. Well, I moved and have a very small yard now (10x20 ft) and after he had sufficiently peed on everything, he no longer wanted to pee in that area and would just stand by the gate...then have an accident in the house. (Enter face of frustration) I could not feasibly walk him every time he needed out (I live in a very low lit area with no sidewalks). I popped this in near the fence and immediately he peed next to it. I thought it maybe was a coincidence but several months later he's still peeing on it or near it with no accidents.

My 4 year old small male dog goes outside all the time as he is trained already. He loves marking every post when he goes on a walk to tell the world his small body owns the neighborhood. I needed him to pee in one spot in our yard and since I cant move fire hydrant into our yard, I decided to give this a try even though reviews were bad. The reviews were CORRECT. The stick was smelly to our human noses but I guess it does not get noticed by dogs or something which I thought was very odd. My dog totally ignores it and goes other places to pee. This is garbage and total waste of money. It destroyed my hope. I will have to pour water everywhere he pees from now. People please DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO TRY THIS. It just does NOT work.

Our dogs like to pee against garden furniture or plant pots so I bought this to get them to pee in one place, the first day I got it 2 dogs got aggressive with each other , probably from the pheromone smell. After than they haven't paid any attention to the post and defiantly haven't used it to pee on.

My dog ignores the post entirely. She wasn't even curious enough about it to go sniff it.Putting in time and effort to train your dog is an essential part of their care, BUT if you have to train your dog to use this particular product then it is not working as advertised. At that point, with the same amount of effort, you could train them to pee on any object/marker you choose, making this nothing more than a seriously overpriced stick in the ground and not worth buying.Either it's a "simple solution" or it isn't. Verdict: Isn't.
