This item does not respond to rain drops as stated. That's the only reason I bought it. You can use the sticks included to play songs.

I like the tones and the concept of having a musical rain show. It's a little smaller than expected, so it has to really be raining to work, and then, you're not necessarily going to be outside when it's raining like that. Still cool though. The tones are surprisingly low for the size. I expected higher pitch, but it's pleasant to the ear.

I played with this when it first came, and the little hammer to play sounds was kind of cool. I really didn't get to test it in the rain until we had some rain yesterday. You kinda have to find an area that's got some big enough water drops to actually make it make some sound. Unfortunately for me that's near the trees and that's kind of away from the front of my apartment so I didn't want it stolen.I previously noted that this doesnt drain however, the little black rubber piece on the bottom that it "stands" on, its a drain plug, So problem solved there. up to 4 stars now.

This rain drum sounds good. Comes with instructions that include a couple of songs to do yourself. Doesn’t weight much and sized small. Good value and quality
