I have bought at least 5 smaller TSD's for myself, family, and friends. We all love them! It made me question if they came larger... why yes yes they do!! The 15" is beautifully wrapped in a twin belt and with a great multi strapped cushioned bag!! It'll protect it from scratches and slight bumps. There's a zippered pocket large enough for the accessories of sticks, their holder, finger caps, extra numbers, and musical book. The book is a better quality and much larger then the one with the smaller drums. Now to sound... WOW!! ITS BEAUTIFUL!! The drum arrived today and I look forward to playing it more!!!

My son loves drumming so we got this as a new instrument for him for Christmas. He loves it! The sound is great. It seems sturdy and seems durable. He didn't care too much for the decorative wrap but it works fine without it. One of the number stickers is wearing off but it comes with replacements and once he uses it enough I don't think he will need them. Would recommend! He is enjoying learning a new instrument.

Lovely instrument that is easy and fun to learn to play. It came in tune with beautiful tones. It was complete with instructions, drum sticks and a very well made zippered, padded carrying case making it portable to take with you. This would make a great gift for anyone.

This is my second Tongue Drum (first purchase went to a friend who loves music) and I fell in love with this instrument and so got the 14 inch version in D major for myself. The tuning is spot on, the rubber feet on the bottom create a outstanding resonating chamber. The tone is warm, reflective and it is so fun playing 'Hey Jude' or 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' and the 14 note range makes these more complex songs possible. The supplied carrying bag is exceptional and has a outside zippered pocket for the drum mallets and mallet stand. I scan the small sheet music book the came with it with my phone and then print them out on a 8×12 " letter size and use a clipboard as a table top music stand. I Would highly recommend this musical jewel.Tip to optimize the sound: remove the bottom rubber gasket and the emitted sound will be deeper more resonate. Also take a 3 inch circle of regular felt fabric and cover the end of the supplied mallets & secure with a rubber band and your mallet strikes will have a more resonate and non-metallic vibration. You can spend $15 to $30 on felt tipped tongue drum malletts or just do this modification for much less $ and I was able to return my new set of felt mallets that didn't sound as good as the felt modified originals.

Ordered 2 of these, one to replace the other. Both had 2-3 notes that were totally out of tune. Directions say to add magnets on the interior to improve the tuning. Haven't tried this yet but doubtful. Kept the 2nd one because of it's novelty and interesting appearance...almost a decorator item/conversation piece and enjoy the soothing sounds. But playing artful melodies...not so much!

The drum is a delight. I love it. The song book has a nice selection of songs, but other than stating the musical note for each number, there's no key to explain what the various notations with the numbers mean. If anyone has worked that out, please let me know!
