The sound is gorgeous, meditative. I've bought three for three of my grandchildren. They all love it and so do their parents. They are colorful, well made and come with a beautiful case. They are also reasonably priced.

Purchased for a sensory needs child based on a recommendation. Best thing I’ve ever done for this young person. They have played non-stop since receiving for Christmas. The vibrations are soothing and child has remained calm and is now reading the book and attempting to learn songs after familiarizing themselves with the instrument. Recommend getting the larger just for the additional note options. It is not overly loud unless mallets used, but person it was purchased for prefers to play by hand. Even includes cleaning cloth to keep it wiped down and safe from skin oils on the finish between uses. Great price and product for first instrument of this type and to learn on. Travel/storage bag is also a major plus!

I bought this drum as a gift for my first grandson, for his first Christmas. Great price and value and sound for a kid to learn to enjoy music, a “toy†that doesn’t need batteries, or sound obnoxious and annoying! Carrying case is adorable, comes with a case for the mallets, easy to carry and lightweight.

Loved the product but it came with only one mallet. All indications are there should be two. Since it’s a Christmas gift, rather than chance not getting a replacement in time, I had to spend an extra $10 for a pair of mallets which are longer than what came with the drum, but were the shortest I could find. Too bad I can’t give it 5 stars overall. It’s pretty cool.

My 9 year old grandsons got this for Christmas.One of them took right to it and could play Christmas music on it right away without the information paper teaching you.

Fun for children and adults to play together. I was expecting something of somewhat lesser quality, and pleasantly surprised with the overall sound and construction of the instrument. The mallets have rubber tips that are solidly adhered to the stick, but could pose a choking hazard if they become disconnected. Parents might want to supervise young children when using the instrument. Overall, highly recommend.
