I've seen these in action and they're great. You can hold the kids back from getting too much momentum and it gives them the confidence to keep trying because you're right there. I can't wait for the snow now so we can get my daughter out on the slopes some. It fits a little weird because my daughter is small, but I still think it will work fine.

This isn't a perfect ski leash. But it is high quality and it's easy to use. It clips in a few different spots and each strap adjusts separately for a better fit. My daughter is 2 years old wearing 12-18 month clothes and this is still too big for her even with her snow suit on. I had to cross the straps in the front and in the back to ensure a safer fit. The pocket in the back by the handle was really nice for her to put a few extra things in. Over all, if recommend, my daughter is just on the early side of skiing and the small side for her age.

Bought this for my 2 year old. I thought how could I go wrong with the price. Well, it doesn't fit him at all. The shoulder straps have no adjustments. The handle on the back is worthless because it's too small/tight to get your hand through with gloves on. Not impressed.

I am a keen skier and take my small children away too. I have a different harness and got this one to try as an upgrade.Pros: big chunky clips work easily when wearing gloves, the side strap attachments on the main vest slide so you can tighten or loosen straps as much as you need without restriction. The reins mean you can control the skier on each side to help them get into shifting weight to turn. There is a solid plastic handle on the back which is great for picking them up after a wipe out.Cons: not sure I like the bag section that dangles down from the harness. It holds the reins but also I think it gets in the way a bit.The reins are partly solid partly elastic (see pic).Although this gives more length to allow the child to ski in from of you, I think you lose responsiveness of control gestures (pulling reins to help steer) due to the elastic.I would have preferred a double option to either include/exclude the elastic segment.Mind you you can just knot it out of the way so it's not really a huge issue.Useful item for beginners.I also know of people who use these for older kids who might have needs meaning walker reins are still required when the child is no longer a toddler. I think these would work well for that too.

This was very useful during the first three days. My daughter (5.5yo) outgrew it on the fourth day and thanks to this she became fearless :)
