I love writing positive reviews and this is one of them! There are a few flaws in this radio/media player but none of them are a big deal to me. I mainly use this item to listen to my music and audio books and for that it is near flawless. For its size the audio is very good. The design and function of controls are excellent! I don't listen to radio much but the sensitivity is great. However, saving presets can be rather tricky. I have not been able to access system settings yet but really have no need to. I have too many small radio/media players to count and I believe this unit is the best.

I only had two needs. I needed small radio and get FM reception living in a very rural area. And holy omg! That tiny unit picks up stations that I didn't know existed. Even my vehicle radio FM didn't catch.Sound is kinda impressive for such a tiny radio.I didn't buy for the Bluetooth options and all the other slot cards blah blah.. so didn't check them out

I got this little digital FM Radio with bluetooth input for my grandson for Christmas with the expectation that he would find it beneficial for listening to his audio books etc as he heads to bed each night. Such is his routine and I felt that having a solid device that he could interface with from his phone for a better quality sound would be beneficial. It fulfills that expectation and as a bluetooth speaker it will likely satisfy most customers, although other aspects of it's use will become more subjective. For those who want a Retro look and feel then this will likely provide those esoteric features as well. This unit provides a couple of positives, some neutral and several negative features or lack thereof within it's list of capabilities. If you're using this as a Bluetooth speaker, it's easy to use and does the job. The other functions are difficult to use. There is a recorded voice that says "FM Radio" and "power off" whenever these functions are activated. This feature can be annoying but may be helpful for those with visual impairments. The unit can automatically assign FM stations to buttons, but it will assign each station in the scan so you may have to go back and reassign buttons for the stations you actually want. There is a two second delay between when you push the button and when the new station plays, which can be confusing. The Bluetooth function is easy and allows for better sound quality than the phone speakers. Since this is the primary intended application for this device I give it a "plus", However it appears that the sound, regardless of source is limited to one channel, not stereo. At least I was unable to demonstrate a stereo interface or balancing between channels which was quite disappointing considering the fact that FM broadcasts and all music are in stereophonic form. I tested the USB stick player function and was able to get it to work. However, because there is no hierarchical menu or search function, if you have 300 songs you literally start at #1 and have to click the >> button to get to the next one (meaning 299 presses if the one you want is last). This is cumbersome at best. One small pleasant surprise: if you are listening to music on the USB stick and then switch to another source and then switch back it will remember where you were. It will even resume right where you left it if you unplug the USB stick and plug it back in (I did not try switching USB sticks -- maybe it will only keep track of the last one). If you power the device off then it loses its place though, so it's not stored anywhere in non-volatile memory. I also tested the record function. It works -- it has a built-in microphone. So I guess it can be used as a voice recorder but again, the interface to switch between various sound files is not great compared to just using a phone, so I can't see too many people using this for that function.

Radio FM receiver is in Mono mode only (left and right speakers are connected together on FM only). This is nonsens in today technology. All FM radio stations transmitt radio signal in Stereo. Very negative suprice.

Let's first clear up the semantics of their use of the term "Digital FM radio": This is a classic FM radio for analog channels with a digital display. It is not a radio to receive digital FM stations (e.g. HD radio), and this is of course not expected at this price. It also does not decode and display detailed RDS channel information and just shows the FM frequency. While small, it feels solid and heavy (256 grams) and many parts seem to be metal (Grills, volume knob, etc.). There are even rubberized non-slip inserts at the bottom. Built quality is fantastic and it looks great overall. The best use is probably at home, because it is not waterproof and holes for USB and micro SD card are open right on top and probably not rain proof for the next camping trip. The manual lists some "safeguards" such as "do not shake the unit", "do not place in water", etc.The display can be hard to read, depending on the view angle, but the backlight brightness can be adjusted in the settings. The labeling of the volume knob seems backwards because we need to turn to the left (when viewed from the front) to turn on and increase the volume, but the "+" marking is towards the right (see picture). This was confusing to me and I accidentally increased the volume at times when trying to turn it off. We always get it right on the second try, though. Turning off is achieved by turning the volume button counterclockwise to zero past a click, but sometimes it says "bye bye" on the display even right before the click and will turn on again at the slightest touch. It is important to go past the click to fully turn it off.I have not tested the battery life, but the unit works equally well with a charger connected to the USB C port on the right side.Operating the various controls (and navigating the setting menu) is not very intuitive and the manual is required reading for anything more advanced. The illustrated manual is generally understandable. Basic operations are easy. There is even a small hole to reset the unit in case it misbehaves, but that hasn't happened yet. Besides FM radio, it can play from an SD card or USB stick, or act as Bluetooth speaker. It can even be used to record audio to a micro SD or USB drive.I am not sure who still needs an FM radio in the times of smartphones and streaming services. But this radio has some use when being off-grid or for the elderly where, once setup, turning the volume knob or selecting a preset channel is easy to learn. Sound quality is reasonable for the size.
