These probably are too small for use in a closet, as others have said. However, these are perfect for use in storing 3d printer filament. Most closet brackets are far too big for that, and most curtain brackets too small, but these are just right. I'm using a scrap PVC pipe to go between, and larger roles can set on top of the pipe and rest against the wall, or of course large or small rolls can be stored by putting the pipe through the middle of the roll.These will have no problem holding the weight. I did take off one star because the included wall anchors and screws weren't near sturdy enough and pulled out of drywall, so I used other hardware I had to mount them. But otherwise I'm happy to have found these for my purpose.
