A very nice unit. I think it will work great. I has the capability of being vented out a window with a dryer vent kit of 4 inches. I wish this information and a ventilation kit were available with this unit instead of having to try and figure this out on my own.

It’s a great little machine but the cord isn’t long enough to sit atop my workbench and be plugged in without an extension cord. NOTE: I am not sure it (alone) is effective in clearing harmful fumes from the air. I. Wonder if you actually have a but a vent hose, and vent it out the window. So I am truly on the fence.I purchased this because I thought it would not require venting. I’m giving 4 stars because it is a good product. I’m just not sure if it is a little misleading regarding need to vent. Fumes from soldering can be harmful and personally, I do not feel safe and protected since the air quality is not good when I remove my respirator.

You have to have this directly over your work piece or the smoke just goes off into the room.I'm not impressed with the extraction at all, but the unit is actually built very well, it just doesn't do what it is supposed to do, so what's the point?

I got this to help pull away the small amount of fumes produced when making wood burning art. It seems to work well and comes with a few replacement filters. Great buy.

I usually wear a filtered mask when I'm soldering my stained glass but I still worry about inhaling any remnant dangerous chemicals that get thrown up into the air. I didn't have the budget for anything fancy but this is is perfect for outside work and makes me feel more confident in my safety.

I used this for a few hours and it was working fine. After sitting on the shelf for a month I brought it out for a new project and couldn’t get it to turn on.
