I just installed these yesterday on my wife's gardening workbench. They work very well. Before buying them, I was concerned about how much effort/force it would take to bring the lever down that lifts each leg. But, after installing them, I found that it was reasonable. Engaging and disengaging the casters does not take that much effort. Two notes that I think are worth mentioning:(1) When you release a caster by lifting the lever up, you might want to consider simultaneously holding the table at that point while it lowers. Otherwise, for heavy items (my wife's workbench is one such item), it can slam down pretty quickly. May not be a problem for you -- it would depend on what you have on the bench.(2) One of the videos recommends NOT trimming the bottom of the template card off before using it. (It's about 3/16" or so). I agree with this recommendation (I also did not trim it.) By trimming it you bring the mounting bracket closer to the floor which will result in the caster lifting the bench higher when it is engaged. This results in the items on the table temporarily being subjected to more of an angle as you engage each caster. Depending on the stability of the items on the table, this could result in some things tipping over.Although I have only one day of experience, this appears to be a great product. Seems to be a better value than other retractable casters available - costs less and supports more weight. Also comes with two little wrenches to lock down the bolts and nuts included with the kit. All you need is a drill and a Phillips head screwdriver or power driver. These took me about an hour to install. Others have done it faster but I'm a bit of a fussbudget -- needed to understand things before proceeding (a blessing and a curse). The screw fasters on the bottom of each mounting bracket end up being pretty close to the floor and therefore a little challenging to install (assuming you have to install with the table/bench in place without inverting it). I wouldn't call it a "snap" to install but it was indeed quite straightforward.I would/will buy these again for other applications if they come up.

I used 2 sets of these (a total of 8 casters) to move my empty hot tub! It works like a charm. I like to keep my hot tub in one place most of the year, but then when the snow hits I like to move it under the deck. Luckily it is all on the same concrete patio. I used 8 of these casters secured to the bottom wood frame of the tub and can easily move the entire thing by myself. The best part is they can stay installed because the tub actually sits on the concrete when these are retracted. At first I thought it would have been nice if the casters were assembled already, but in reality- you will have a heck of a time mounting them if everything is assembled.I found it much smoother to install the mounting plate first, then assemble the caster and lever parts after. This ensured a solid mount with easy access to the screw holes and much better angles for the drill!Only other tip would be to mount these about 1/16th higher than the specified height. When you get the package it has a template- I just didn't trim the edge of the template off (the side with the dashed line indicating to cut here) and it was the perfect height. Using the template as they describe will certainly work, but it leaves very little margin of error for the casters to retract fully. The extra 1/6th of an inch or so makes it so the wheels are definitely fully retracted and not supporting any weight at all.Awesome little project that saved me a ton of effort and time over moving my hot tub the usual way. Well built for their weight rating.

I would give these 5 stars, but the sub-par instructions were a disappointment. If the documentation and assembly instructions were improved, then I would give these 5 stars. I'm using these on a workbench with integrated tablesaw and router (~ 400 lbs total). Here’s what I would like to have seen in the instructions:1. Better assembly instructions. A few notes: a. Use the longer length screw for the mounting plate and use the smaller length screen for the kick pedal b. Assemble the mounting plate first, make sure it is perpendicular to the mounting plate when you slide-in the screw, the flat side should face down towards the location of the wheel c. The nuts are self-locking and do not need to be screwed down too far; just screw enough so the threads are covered. The parts will have slack after assembly and that is okay. d. Attach the wheels AFTER mounting the plate to your table or the wheel will get in the way.2. Use a Phillips head #2 (PH2) to attach the mounting plate to your wood frame. Other sized Phillips heads will probably strip the included screws. I was able to use a Mikita power driver on a low torque setting (3) and a PH2 driver successfully.3. Trim the bottom of the included template along the dotted-line then you can set the bottom of the template along the floor – which makes the template actually usable!See attached images referencing my notes.

These wheels were used on the ‘strong-back’ for constructing a canoe, with full strong back, additional materials stowed below canoe and completed canoe about 125 pounds total. Legs were 2†x 6†boards properly braced. It was really easy to roll the canoe outside for sanding, maneuvering and moving around the work space. The wheels raise easily to put legs solidly on floor to hold in place when desired. Highly recommend these wheels, excellent value for the money.

I'm sure I didn't put up to 800 lbs on these but my workbench is quite heavy and these worked great..Bought 2 sets...would buy again

Easy to install, excellent quality, easy maneuverability. My only nitpick would be that under the foot lever saw dust is collected as it can't drop out the bottom to the floor.

I was a little sceptical that these would be any could as they were quite cheap compared to alternatives. But they are well made and doing a great job on my 250kg table saw. They come with self tapping screws but I used M6 bolts instead which the holes are a perfect size for (4 bolts per wheel). One of the reasons I think they are cheap is they come completely disassembled however this makes fitting much easier and it only takes a minute or two for assembly.I bought the 400kg model as there wasn't much difference in the price. They are very easy to engage and release and that is on my 250kg table saw.
