I recently purchased the 7/8 wt kit and it arrived 2 days later with prime shipping. The case fits everything from the kit nicely and looks like it will hold up well. The reel seems to be decent quality. There is no play in the spool and the clutch seems to operate properly. The rod looks nice, but the eyes on the top half of the rod are not aligned well. The backing is 20 lb test and should do the job. The floating line delivered with the kit is a 6wt without welded loops. The flies are exactly like the picture inside the included fly box.Update: I was contacted by customer service and they said they are sending a replacement. Will update again after it arrives.Update: The new kit arrived and is alot better than the first. I have raised my raiting to 5 stars. For $100 this kit is a great deal. The eyes align perfect on this rod. The reel is o-ring sealed and very smooth. The 20 lb backing and wf8f fly line fill up the reel perfectly. The flies are exactly like the picture inside the included fly box. One braided leader loop and one 6x leader was also included. Everything fits nicely in the included case and remember there is a 5 year warranty. If you have any issues with your purchase, their customer service will help make it right.

I am a avid fisherman when it come to salt water fishing and fresh water, I would say I fish about 3-4 time a week I've recently went back to fly fishing and wanted to warm myself into something economical. I did some searching and came across Sougayilang and heard great reviews. I purchase the kit and when it arrived the next day I set it up and took it out for local fishing trip for some peacock bass. the fly Rod has a average performance but the price, you are getting a better deal then say a Ovis or TFO outfitted setup but way less. The reel is s top notch performer and can handle 16-18" peacock bass and large mouth with out an issue. The flys that you get are amazing, they will catch the eye of your prey in no time.The floating fly line is average quality but for what you are getting in this entire setup with really worth every penny. I've had this for 6 weeks and I've caught caught small snook, glass nose, yellow jacks, and pompanos. Over all this outfitted kit is the best value that you can find anywhere. The customer support over email is really fast and they get you back on your feet in no time. I highly recommend this product for beginners to intermediate.

I haven't had a lot of experience with super high end stuff, and cut my teeth fly fishing on dads old cheap gear.This setup has continued to impress me. The reel feels almost frictionless on the retrieve, and the drag is smooth throughout an impressive range of pressure. Very nicely made and I have no problem holding onto this reel for years and years to come.The rod seems well built. The dots for lining up the pieces are off which is a pain, but not the end of the world. The guides are well adhered and straight. The reel seat is smooth and the threads are smoother than I'd expect at this price point. But the handle seems to be coming apart a bit after a few months of fishing. I can feel a click during the casts. Hasn't failed yet but when it does it will be a good excuse to upgrade.The flys are trash. Poorly tied, no head cement, I can't tell if these are supposed to be dry flies or nymphs or what. Tried a few and they unraveled fairly quickly.I didnt have a chance to try the line as it was tangled and knotted before it could get on the reel but that was my fault.The case is fine, does its job well enough.The nippers are useless as well. Blades dont line up and dont come close to actually cutting line.Overall though this has been a fantastic purchase for me. The rod and reel are the big selling points here. And for the same price as a cabelas or bass pro kit this completely blows them out of the water. And I dont mind taking the setup places they might not come back from or leaving it in the car since it's so cheap.

Keep in mind you are paying for a great value rod and reel with a case. Can't beat the price. If your package arrives missing any of the other items don't worry. The rest of the stuff is trash anyway (except the backing, Dacron is Dacron). Throw everything else away. Order fly line, leader, tippet, flies and fly box from your favorite real fly shop. If you HAVE to use the crap that came with then here are some tips: 1. cut the small diameter "tippet" part of leader off and use just the butt section (the 'tippet' part will just break off anyway) and tie on some real tippet that you get from the fly shop. 2. Slide the bodies of all the flies down to the barb, put a drop of superglue on the hook shank, then slide the bodies back up on the shank ( the flies are not tied properly and will end up at the hook barb after the first cast anyway) 3. If you are so hard-up that you HAVE to use the fly box, then use it while saving money for a real fly box (you will only have about 3 weeks before the hinge breaks so start saving). 5 stars for the great buy on the rod, reel and case AND it arrived quickly. These three items are well built and will last as long as you care for them properly.

Can't believe the quality of this package compared to the price!! Metal reel that glides so smooth you can't hear it... unless you tighten to where you want to hear it.. very sturdy , durable and a great rod for beginners and avid fishermen alike!

Received my order well ahead of promised delivery date, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of both the reel & the rod, the only down fall was a 4wt line being supplied as the rod is a 5/6 weight, but that’s no biggie. Cheers guys for a good all round value for money entry level package. ðŸ‘🎣
