My mother has bird feeders hanging from a piece of threaded rod drilled into a 4x4 post. The squirrels kept sliding the feeders off the end of the rod. This did the trick. I could put it around the rod and tighten it down so that the bird feeder can no longer be pushed off the end. A quick and easy solution!

Double check size of what you are connecting to. My ground rods (at remote location) turned out to be 5/8" so I was unable to use this item. Keeping it for possible use elsewhere.
