Coleman Cable 02468 14/3 SJTW Low-Temp Outdoor Extension Cord with Lighted End, 50-Foot This is a superior extension cable made for operating in cold temperatures. It stays flexible in the snow, so is excellent for operating cold weather outdoor equipment. Easy to rewind because the insulation does not get brittle. Very important to use a 14 gauge wire to minimize the voltage drop. Most cords of this length are 16 gauge and will get warm or cause power slowdown, but this is 14 gauge and performs well. It is worth spending a little extra to make cold weather chores less difficult.

I got this extension cord to power my new 15 amp Toro snowblower. I like the light at the end to let me know it is properly connected to power outlet by the front porch. I stretched it out the full 100 feet with no noticeable decrease in power in my snowblower. I have used it in subfreezing weather and it works perfectly. It is pliable even in the cold. It slides along the ground easily whether it is snow/ice covered or not. The blue is bright and highly visible so I know where it is at all times so as not to run over it. Winding it back up manually is a chore because of the weight. Highly recommend it for outside purposes especially in the cold weather.

It says what it does. It doesn't stiffen in the cold. I have it in my lawn going to my chicken coop heaters and it is single digits Fahrenheit. The cord is still flexible and easily able to be rolled up. Thick gauge and good quality plugs. I would buy again.

This was better than what I had but not as flexible as I hoped. I bought this for an electric snow blower.

Purchased a plug in style electric mower. The mower requires a bit more amps than my regular old extension cord was made for. I purchased this and it had a great color that makes it easy to see. It also is a thick cord and definitely can handle decent amperage. It has a light in the plug side, so you know that it has power running, you don’t have to guess if the cord has power running.

This is hands down the best 12ga cord I own, period, let alone for the cold weather. While all my other expensive 12ga cords harden up in the winter, this one remains flexible and easy to roll up. Even after leaving it outside for days, or in my trailer for days at a time, in single digit temperatures, I can still easily work with this cord. I don't normally get excited over cords, but anyone that has tried to roll one up in the winter knows the frustration involved. After I bought the first one, I almost immediately destroyed it with my snowblower while clearing a jobsite. (Big sad). I wouldnt normally do this, but because I love this cord so much, the first thing I did when I got home was buy another one.

Remains flexible during cold weather. A huge factor in handling the cord for connection purposes.

Great product for the price it’s worked perfect all winter in northern Manitoba with no issues. Attached this to my water trough heater and works great in -33C.

Waiting for our extreme weather to kick in to really know its durability and sturdiness. It flexible and has not stiffened in the mild winter weather we had so far. Will know after the snow sets in and we are in the deep freeze. My purpose for its purchase is for external winter use and if stays as is in February then it will be really worth for its price.
