The chipper started on the first pull with every start and ran perfectly. I chopped up a huge pile of brush. I love the large and long feeding chute and that it sends the chips out in the same direction as the brush goes in. I can fit up to 3", but it's best not to chip anything more than 2". If you feed it too quickly, especially with large pieces it will stall out. It is a fantastic machine, especially for that price range. It was easy to assemble. It's very easy to maneuver and it's small enough that it doesn't take up much storage space. When I ordered this on September 4th 2023 I thought it was listed as $439. The invoice price was $470. Today, October 2nd 2023 it is now listed as $699. That seems like an awfully big price jump in such a short time. Maybe the price of the unit varies according to availability. It's now October of 2024 and I still love this little chipper. I've put loads of brush through it. It still starts on the first pull and runs fantastic. The only issue is the welds on the muffler broke so now the muffler wobbles around on the top of the muffler pipe. It's a great machine for the price and I highly recommend it.

I typically don't write reviews but felt compelled to do so.I was unsure about which mini chopper to buy, but knew I needed one after paying hundreds of dollars each year for folks to prune my trees and bushes and discard the debris.I landed on this one after reviewing several and it hasn't disappointed.Pros:Very reliable and starts with easy. It even ran for several hrs after I put chainsaw / barb oil in it vs. the recommended motor oil (I was a little excited when I 1st got it).It stalled on me a cpl times with the oil, but still was a work horse. After I replaced the oil it ran non-stop.Start - as I mentioned early, easy and consistent start.Cons: (not many and trivial)- sits lower than I though so I found myself bending over more to feed it than I thought I would (I'm 6ft)- Heavier than expected so mounting the engine onto the base takes a little effort-wheel base doesn't extend completely beyond the engine, thus the engine rubs against one wheel every time I move it, making moving it a bit of a hassle.Overall I'm pleased with the purchase though.

This will get its first actual try later today, but everything was in the box and the instructions pretty clear. A list of tools needed would’ve saved me some steps. Basically you need a set of metric sockets and wrenches, plus a pair of pliers and needle-nosed for the cotter pins holding the wheels in place. IIRC, 10, 12, and 13mm will cover the bolts and nuts. It is heavy, and someone with limited strength should get help getting the parts out of the box and lifting the engine unit. I assembled the carriage, turned the engine over, bolted the carriage on top, then flipped it over as it’s a lot easier to shift the carriage around to line up the bolt holes than the engine unit.Update:This works very well and produces excellent mulch. There is a slight learning curve as to how best to feed material into it, but once you figure that out it makes short work of yard debris. Larger pieces require that you feed them slowly to give the knives time to work them down. You definitely need good leather gloves to protect your hands. Knit gloves may snag on the branches and could draw your hands into the chute. Same goes for loose clothing like long sleeves. Wear ear- and eye-protection. Branches with side shoots will be pulled into the chute more easily if you squeeze them down a bit first.

I looked around at several chippers before deciding on this one. Most other chippers in this size range require you to completely strip the branches prior to feeding into the machine. I liked this one because it was linear in design and the material doesn't have to change direction on discharge costing valuable momentum. Also, the long intake chute compresses the limbs as it nears the chipping blade so you don't have to trim near as much from the limbs. It eagerly gobbles anything you push at it up to 2" on a continuous basis. Anything over that size you will have to feed in short pushes. But, it will eat them. Get a tube of blue thread locker and use it. Things will vibrate loose. I like the extra blade that comes with the machine. Nice to know it's there in case of accidental damage to the original. Tires are sturdy and the unit is easily moved and very mobile. I put an hour meter on mine to keep track of oil life. 20 hrs and counting at this point after about 20-30 mins break in for motor. I love using it and would easily purchase again.

I bought the item in December 2024 and got around to opening the package in February 2025. I added the recommended engine oil and gas and tried to start the engine, but the engine did not start. Realizing the return policy was most likely over I attempted to troubleshoot the reason why it would not start. I checked for spark ( The spark plug had plenty of spark) , I checked for fuel ( I confirmed that fuel was getting into the cylinder) , and finally I checked for compression ( engine had adequate compression ). Then I replaced the fuel to see if I had bad fuel, yet the engine still did not startUnfortunately, now I have to go down many rabbit holes to figure out why a brand new engine will not start.I do not recommend this product to anyone, and would not recommend this product. Buy at your own risk!

Works great on small to medium size brush. Have to hold back the feed rate for larger size limbs 2-3" diameter or the machine will stall. Feed chute is low and will be somewhat hard on the back if processing larger volumes of material.

No where in the description does it say you have to lift the engine and chipper assembly which is already pre assembled and also weighs at least 40 to 50 lbs. on to the mounting frame when I am 75 years and restricted to lifting no more than 20 lbs . If that info would have been in the description I would have looked elsewhere until I found one that said the engine was pre assembled. I HAVE NO ONE IN MY Family that could help me lift the assembly onto the frame no even neighbours that I could rely on. So I guess it’s up to me. Not everybody is 30 years old and can easily lift the assy. Into place even if I am only lifting about 8to 10 in. It’s the fact I’m not to lift that much weight so thanks landworks people fore figuring only young people would buy one of these SURE HOPE YOU READ ALL REVIEWS I’m sure you won’t like this review
