Years ago, I used to buy yellow watermelon at a local grocery store. We liked it a lot, but then they stopped carrying it. A few years ago, I came across yellow watermelon at another local grocery store, and we bought it. As happened previously, we liked it a lot. Even though this particular grocery store continued selling it, we wanted to try growing it for ourselves instead of buying at the market all the time. Besides, if the store discontinued carrying it, we still wanted to be able to have it. So, I checked on Amazon and was happy to see the seeds for sale! I grew it in 2023 and had a good turnout (thanks to near constant rain through the summer); the melons were personal size, but very moist and tasty -- a perfect refreshment on a hot summer day! I must say that the melons were quite seedy, but that made it so that I could save seed for the next year. In 2024, I forgot where I put the previous year's seeds, so I ordered more from the same company. The melons didn't do so well in the summer of 2024, but I heard that the spell of very hot weather and not near as much rain as we had the previous summer made for oddly shaped (inside and out), undersized, and somewhat bland melons. I have leftover seeds from the order placed in 2024, and I found the seeds from the 2023 crop. I pray this upcoming summer of 2025 will be a great season for gardening -- including this very delicious variety of melon!

These watermelons were delicious. I put no effort into growing these and I was getting 15 pound watermelons and they were delicious.

I planted every single seed, since the seeds I purchased from the store didnt come up at all. I planted three per pot, assuming only one would come up. Every single seed produced a plant and they are thriving! They came up very quickly and have been very happy.

I purchased a package of these seeds as we love yellow watermelon. The package of seeds were sealed in a plastic bag and then in a regular delivery package. When I opened them the seeds appeared to be old & some were crushed. I ended up with about 12 seeds and planted them according to the package and placed them in our greenhouse. It’s been almost 2 weeks and not one seed has sprouted. Very disappointing.
