Had to reverse clamps to hide them. Blue end easily separates from red with twist with flat tip screwdriver at clamp opening. Snaps back on with pinch with channel locks.

These are nifty and I suppose mandatory for adding the wow factor to an engine compartment. The kit comes pre-cut and the ends sealed with black tape making it easy to install/remove the clamps. To shorten, the kit recommends a hacksaw; but I used a thin high speed metal cut-off abrasive disc. FOLLOW-UP: Was struggling until I realized the two halves are lightly pressed together... using a flat screwdriver can be pried apart (Aluminum easy to damage so use care). Pull back red cover up SST hose, place blue base (with loose clamp) over fitting install shielded hose then tighten clamp, slide red cover down and snap onto blue base.. .The SST hose clamps are cheap 6mm metric and strip easily. Did I miss this in the instructions? Autozone help line had no idea... GL

A little harder to work with then standard hoses. Make sure to wrap the hose with electrical tape where you want to cut it. Fibers like to poke you, too! Love the look!

poor product hose braiding has burrs sticking out so you cant run your hand down it with out poking your self poor quality fittings made in china junk

Fit my car well and easy to work with. If I had one complaint it would be the clamps are not fantastic, BUT they do work and the final result shows well in the engine bay. May sure you wrap the hose with electrical tape where you are cutting to size to ensure the braiding doesn't get damaged or frayed.
