My 5 star rating takes into account the low cost.Despite being crudely made they function perfectly and proved to be exactly what I needed. They turned out to be the best 'pulling' pliers that I have come across because of the very low tendency for the jaws to be forced open when pulling. They do seem to be carbon-steel and I am confident they will last.I doubt the small wire-cutter will work very well because of the joint sloppiness so, for me, they have a single purpose: 'gripping' (up to about 25mm). They do that very well in a small convenient size, better in fact that any of my 'combination' pliers.I own about 30 pairs of various 'pattern' pliers including top brands Knipex, Bahco, Tsunoda etc but I thoroughly recommend this 'pattern' to anyone who has not tried them. I'm amazed that I got to my age (77) before appreciating the advantages of this 'pattern'.Small size + excellent grip + brilliant for pulling.(The photo shows my 1st pair after dipping them three times in 'PlastiDip' so that I could pull a G9 bulb out of a recessed socket without breaking it.)

La pince à joint est de bonne qualité, cependant j'ai du désserrer légèrement et graisser afin de pouvoir l'utiliser correctement, il fallait exercer une certaine force pour pouvoir le manier, ce qui le rendait quasi inutilisable.La prise en main est correct, les matériaux sont de bonne qualité, il a été conçu pour durer dans le temps (à condition de le graisser), dans l'ensemble je suis satisfait de cette pince

I'm no professional, but these seem great to me. It's easy to slide between modes by pushing or pulling the two handles while open. The grip is comfortable and doesn't slip, and it's a good size. They feel solid, like they'll last a long time and operate smoothly. I think they're very good value for money at only a few quid it's worth getting just to have around the house as it's come in handy several times already in a couple of weeks.
