Haven’t had a chance to use this much but it was smooth and worked great. You can’t beat the value for money. I live in Alaska so it’s going to be put to the test.

I needed a cheap reel for my crappie rod, wasn't expecting much due to the price, but wow, this reel blew me away. Very lightweight, 12+1 Ball Bearings, which means a effortless experience when reeling in your lures or bait and a very smooth and even drag system. Also a nice big comfortable grip on the reel handle. Even if it only lasts one season, it would still be worth the price. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Will be putting these on all my panfish rods.

Ordered the 1000 series to fish brook trout . Reel says it is the 1000 ,but it is larger and holds 160 yds of 6 lb line. The same as the 2000. I have not used it yet, but it is much larger than I wanted.

This reel not only froze up on the ice but has completely jammed up and the drag is shot. I used this reel 3 times and have not had a good experience either of them. I was excited to use this as they usually have good quality reels but not this one. Maybe I got a lemon but not impressed it's complete junk
