I've used this reel on my Ugly stick 10 foot rod for the past week in the surf. This reel casts very well, and has increased by distance. Using 2 or 3 ounce weights, one can cfast well beyond the breakers. Hily recommend for this price.

I’m nice I ordered the reel , I thought It was not gonna be a good quality since it was kind of cheap. But once I got it delivered, I was impressed with the quality and how good it is.I love it and definitely recommend it.

I was able to pick up this Big Surf Fishing Reel for half price which was its was its selling point for me.The advertising fooled me in thinking it was decent reel.I noticed to cheap quality of this reel when I mounted it on a fishing reel.This is what gave it away, the arm between the reel and rod seat is very weak.You are able to get movement between the reel and rod.Its a plastic arm!I bought this reel to mount on a cheap surf rod that I let the kids use so at the price I paid for the reel it makes everything good when the Rod & Reel gets abused.

I bought this reel to replace the broken reel I had for my surf rod. I ended up throwing 40 pound test on it and it works great. Caught a lot of blue fish in the OBX! Definitely worth it and will buy again if I need another one.

The box has previously been opened and the reel was missing parts. It feels well made but disappointed that I had to return it.

Item mostly made of cheap plastic parts not graphite nor carbon fibre as advertised. I would be amazed if it didn’t break after one or two fishing trip!
