I liked the chimney brush. Having used a steal one in the past I think they are harder to shove up and down the chimney, but they do a better job. This one did the job.

Don't spend $90 on those fibreglass rods. Screwed a ring terminal in the bottom after I crimped it around a rope with a knot tied in it. Tied a second rope to the top eyelet. Start at top of chimney and pull down using down rope, then pull it back up using the up rope. Cloud of soot in the living room. Next time will tape plastic around fireplace. Stiff bristles, would buy again.

Using this brush on the end of small dryer vent flex rods and into drill chuck (with DIY threaded adapter). For cleaning short runs of interior woodstove smoke pipes. Because the bristles are not metal but are instead stiff poly, I only use the brush when pipes are cold. Works well for my purposes. Purchased it from Amazon Warehouse deals.

I got this so that I could clean my smokers chimney.. As I am sure you can understand a bbq smoker produces a TON of smoke, that builds up.. Having the ability to clean it leaves me feeling safer. I also recently got a wood fireplace put in my garage to heat it in the winter months, the couple of times Ive used it I had no issues, but the fireplace is still really new so no real build up as of yet.Pay attention to the threads when getting the extension rods.
