Installed 6 months ago and no problems. Replacing this cam shaft sensor is not an easy install for the shade tree mechanic so it is important to do the install and the part function properly!

In all fairness it has only been 2 months. But so far so good. I wanted to go with a Mopar cps, but after much research I discovered they are DISCONTINUED for my year Jeeps. Mopar is no longer making them, and if you do find one expect to pay too much for it. I am familiar with Standard Motor Prducts and I have had no issues in the past with them. I agree that oem in this case would be more reliable, but when you have no choice second best will have to do. I will update if and when it fails on me.

Installed on a decent running 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is having issues randomly shutting off. After the annoying installation I crank it up and the car runs like crap, misfiring and barely driveable. I reset the PCM Adaptive memory, adjust the position of the sensor, anything I could to make it work but no luck. Begrudgingly installed the old sensor and have ordered a Mopar replacement at 4X the cost and I recommend you do the same to avoid having this problem yourself.Side Note: Amazon is great and the return process was a breeze.
