The Starrett Intenss Pro bimetal band saw blade has an Intenssr tooth design, raker set, and a positive rake for cutting low alloy steel; aluminum; stainless steel, carbon steel; tool, die, and mold steel; steel up to C45 Rockwell hardness; nickel-based alloys; and nonferrous metal. The blade can make cuts in cuts in solid, structural, and tubular shapes, and solid and tubular bundles. The Intenss tooth has a positive rake angle for high-production cutting operations. The teeth are made of triple-tempered M-42 high-speed cobalt steel with an alloy steel backing strip that resists fatigue. It also has a variable tooth pitch that reduces noise levels and vibration. The blade has a raker set, which alternates between left-leaning, right-leaning, and unset teeth, for increased chip evacuation that reduces clogging.
Band saw blades are long, continuous bands of metal that loop around the wheels of band saws and can make straight or curved cuts in metal, wood, stone, plastic, and other materials. When purchasing band saw blades, consider the application, as this will affect the choice of tooth rake, tooth set, pitch, and size of the blade. Band saw blades are available with a positive rake angle or a neutral (also called zero or straight) rake angle, and with a raker, wavy, or alternate tooth set. Pitch (the number of teeth per inch or per 25.4 mm) affects the type of finish and may be constant or variable. Band saw blades are available in different lengths and width to fit the requirements of specific band saws.

Shipping took a long time. The weld seem is very good. The blade cuts great. I've used it on a lot of different materials.

I had been purchasing blades at Northern tool and they did not last more than a dozen cuts or so before becoming dull and not cutting correctly. This blade costs twice as much but is made of much better material. So far it has cut great and been lasting well beyond the previous blades.

I would have gotten a coarser tooth pitch if I could have gotten it as quickly but this one hogged through some 3" aluminum square bar good enough on my HF horizontal band saw. I used the coolant system to help prevent clogging of the teeth.Better than any of the cheap china blades you see at HF

The old blade had lost a few teeth and would still work but not well. Installed this new blade and the machine cuts dead square, quickly, and vary smoothly. The very tooth design eliminates harmonic vibration and chatter so common with regular blades.
