Needed a compatible cable to plug in a piece of gear that I just bought. Yes, it's older tech, but a lot of good older devices still use FireWire. This cable has worked without issue so far!

Could fit more securely. If you move your laptop it gives you a nasty message about not being disconnected properly, risk of data loss. Fortunately have never lost data on the external hard drive, but remember that Firewire is not hot swappable (you can't just unplug device, must be ejected).

This product arrived quickly, and appeared unbroken, but never would connect my firewire products with a live connection. It seemed to fit the holes, but simply didn't bring the external hard drive on to my desktop. I was very disappointed.
