I was surprised at how well-made this was -- good heft, easy to play when held or placed on a surface in a number of ways, small rubber feet are sturdy. Requires the included wood and rubber hammers or finger cots, doesn't really sound clearly when struck with bare fingertips. One detail is that the numbering on the notes is not engraved but instead provided through little stickers, and those are on fairly firmly but seem like they might come off over time from being struck -- extras are provided.

song book could be better, and finger picks don't work great, but the drum sounds pretty good with the mallets and resonates nicely.

This was a present for my husband. He told me about the beautiful sounds. Its like been at the Tibet. So smooth and good sound quality. He likes the size that he can travel with it anywhere also has a beautiful cover and a music book that everybody can learn to play easily .Good material. He had a smaller one but this size comes with more notes and it is confortable for adults as well for children.Great price. Will recomend to family abd friends.

This was my second try at getting a drum. Not this brand. This drum was so bad.First thing was the smell when I opened the box. Second the storage bag was junky. Third the drum sounded so tiny and 6 of the keys were dead. When hit the sound was a thud. I wish I could give it a 0 rating.
