First time I tried the big bit and it won't even drill through an electrical breaker box which is not made of tough metal to start with. I even drilled a 1/4" hole with a regular harbor freight drill bit. It went right thru. So now I need the step bit to drill out from 1/4" to 1 1/8" hole it wouldn't drill at all. So I drilled a 1/2" hole with my regular harbor freight drill bit with no problem. Now the step bit needs to go from 1/2" hole to 1 1/8" it absolutely won't drill it period. I will go back to my harbor freight step drill bits. I was trying to find some that lasted a little bit longer but this is not it.I had tried one of the smaller bits before and it did drill but i wasn't impressed with it either.

Not impressed at all. Tried using them to drill holes in burning barrel and they dulled out almost instantly. Would not recommend buying.

Very cheap. Out of the box they couldn't even cut a hole. Don't waste your money
