Repeat buyer. Very solid product. For the price, it would be reasonable for the product to arrive with screws installed. It didn't save any packaging space for it to be unassembled; just saved the manufacturer a dollar or two at the factory and cost every buyer 30 minutes of assembly time and that's assuming they already own the right tools.

Had bough a previous version of this that worked well but this version fell short. The slots to hold skis are far too large for all skis I tried in it ranging for youth skis at 112cm all the way up to 178cm wider skis. the slots were too large both side to side as well as front to back allowing the skis to "fall" forward. If you are looking for a good solution to store skis I would keep looking. Also far too many screws to install, could have designed with some snap together features for easier assembly

I was shocked that this runs $100 and is a couple pounds of plastic. I returned it, does not seem sturdy enough and likely tip over for me in the garage for my situation.

I bought the 5-pair model first. It was sturdy, constructed similar to a milk basket. However, as others have pointed out, the middle slot was useless due to the plastic molding injection point leaving a sharp protrusion that would gouge a ski's base when inserted. The opening was also too narrow to accommodate my Experience 88's.So I returned the 5-pair model and hoped that the 4-pair model would be equal, but just four wider slots instead of five narrow. Nah, the construction is completely different - and flimsy. The divider that each pair of skis "clamps" onto doesn't extend to the bottom of the rack like it does on the 5-pair model. So the skis do tend to lean either way. Also, the sides are thin plastic as opposed to the milk crate construction that the 5-pair model uses. It could probably be made better by making and inserting some kind of shims to center the bottoms of the skis, but who's got time for that?I'd be good with this purchase if I'd paid ~$40, but for the $80 I paid, I'm disappointed.

We'd been looking for a good way to store skis at our mountain cabin for two winter seasons and finally found it last winter with this simple idea! We loved this product that we bought a second stand. We were looking for ways to store them in the garage for daily use while up there during the ski season, possibly outside while inside for lunch, and then storing them during the off-season. Our neighbours in the area have chosen various options including installing branded or homemade racks onto the walls of their garages or either buying or making portable wooden sawhorse shaped stands. There was also an option to buy expensive and heavy metal stands from the ski resort supplier. We were hesitant to start drilling into our garage walls, particularly as the exact best wall location and quantity of spaces needed wasn't obvious. We also felt we'd have to move them to the basement anyway for security in the off-season. The wooden or metal sawhorse shaped stands would take up too much room in our garage and we didn't want to leave them outside the cabin all winter. This free standing storage rack is perfect!! It takes up very little room because the skis stand vertically and don't need to lean. The stands can easily be moved outside at lunch if desired, moved around the garage, and moved to the basement for off-season storage. Aside from all these advantages, the price is the lowest of all possible solutions. As we said, we loved the first one so much we ordered a second one this winter. We now have room for 8 pairs of wide skis.
