We for two of these and they are working alright for our family's cross country skis. However, this rack would work best for downhill skis. The ski holding slats are just a touch wider than I'd like them to be because cross country skis are thinner. The skis still stay in the slots but my husband's skis were bowing out at the bottom so we got some velcro straps to band them together for stability and space.Also, the drill holes on the racks are not lined up for stud length, and you will want to drill these into studs for holding skis. My husband had to drill additional holes through the metal to match up with studs.I am otherwise happy with how they function and look for the price.

Very good sturdy ski holder. Holds ski’s excellently. I have some larger wide Salomon QST pow ski’s that slip through the larger width of the pegs, but I also have another similar rack with closer gaps so it wasn’t an issue for normal sized ski’s. The other brand rack must be from the same factory because it’s almost identical with different spacing. I highly recommend this product. I wish it was a little less expensive but I can be frugal.PS- In the picture it’s the one on the left hand side. The other brand wasn’t for sale anymore, so I tried this new version.

The drywall anchors that came with the rack were terrible--they didn't tighten the screws down, and then they wouldn't release the screws either. The screws just pushed the anchors all the way through the wall, so that they were stuck on the ends of the screws behind the wall, rather than splitting the anchors open. We spent most of our installation time just trying to get the screws back out so that we could install the rack with other drywall anchors that we purchased separately. We also had to patch the holes left by our efforts to pull the screws back out. Installation with other anchors was a breeze. I'd give the rack itself 4 or 5 stars--it's exactly what you'd expect--but the drywall anchors that came with it made installation a truly miserable, 1-star experience.

These don't hold skis without damaging them, and I immediately returned it. In short, the skis slide down as the red rubber protector part rotates, and your skis end up sliding down and out (start out like French fries, end up like an upside-down ^ pizza slice). The only way I can possibly imagine these would hold skis would be if you also added straps in the middle of each ski, but you can see the strain they put on the tips and it's not good. Avoid and get a different design.

The rack is great, a bit in a angle so your skis will ve sticking out a bit but not much. But the screw aren't made to be use in wood. Only in plaster wallbor gyps.
