I got this because I wanted something that would hold more food than a regular slotted spoon when serving or draining food from a pot.This is fantastic! It's large without being too large. It will hold at least 3 to 4 times the amount of a regular slotted spoon! And you know what that means - it's a lot faster & less wear & tear on your hands & wrists!It's fantastic for draining pasta, boiled potatoes, hard boiled eggs, veggies, etc.. It has become one of my favorite kitchen tools.Since it is metal, do be careful when using with non-stick pans. It is very sturdy & very well made, you will not be replacing it any time soon. It should last many, many years. I highly recommend this!

I bought to use when frying, fish or fries. It’s easy to turn my fish over without getting a lot of oil along with the fish. I even use it to take out my egg when boiling to make potato salad . I used to take out my potato out the water Because sometimes some of the potato are finished before the others . I can simply scoop up the ones that are finished and leave the remainder.
