There are two Thermostat / Limit switches on the typical Hot Water Heater.One for the Electric side and one for the gas side.Symptom: Water heater not heating. Hit the reset button and the water would get scalding hot and trip the limit switch again.This Thermostat fixed this problem.Would I recommend? YesWould I buy again? yes
