This is the best mattress pad ever! It works so much better than the electric blankets that we have had in the past. The heat is so hot that we haven't turned it up higher than a 2 yet. The wires are not bulky and you can't feel them at all. The mattress pad is thick and the edges are deep enough for our extra-deep mattress. I highly recommend it.Update 7/12/13We still are using this heated pad and it is still wonderful! Most importantly - it has survived multiple cycles in the washer and dryer. It got a bit stained, but a spray or two of Shout and a wash was all it needed to get completely clean again.I highly recommed this product.

Same as another reviewer has posted: i had the same Sunbeam queen mattress warmer for almost 5 years, got nice and hot after 1-2 hrs on preheat, but finally died. So i bought same exact model as replacement but new one never gets hot after preheating for 10 hrs! Frustrating to climb into cold bed

I absolutely love this heated electric mattress pad. In the cool days of fall and winter and even into spring, my feet and legs get cold and my arthritis in my knees wakes me up every time I go to move. This mattress pad gives me relief and comfort from the time I climb into bed. Although I get up once more during the night, when I return to my bed, I get right in and go right to sleep because the bed is so warm and cozy. My husband and I use different settings and it is just perfect. My daughter was visiting the other day and asked me where the electric m/pad was for the queen guest room. I said it was in the closet, so for that night I had to get out the down comforter. We live in the mountains at high elevation and get used to cold rooms at night (or I should say we used to LOL)... Love this heated Electric Sunbeam M/Pad..

I needed to replace my old heated mattress cover so got this one. It is surprising comfortable, heats up quickly, has an optional auto-off and has a preheat function. It is quite warm; usually the 4 setting (out of 10) is too warm for me. I either turn in down to 2 or 3 or turn if off before I go to sleep. The thing I don't like is that it has the same temperature all over and while my feet could use a little more warmth, my back and neck don't need that much. Except for that, I am enjoying it.

Oh this is a godsend. Now that I have congestive heart failure I am ALWAYS cold. Don't like electric blankets. This however is "the best!"

Much better than an electric blanket. I set it to "Pre-Heat" about five minutes before retiring, then turn it off before I go to sleep. Double controls avoid marital disagreements over temperature. High quality, yet inexpensive.

I had this same model Sunbeam for well over 7 years, worked great, as expected. Then, it did finally fail. Not bad, 7 years. Bought the same unit 2 months ago. Never really got very warm...always kept wondering if it was me or the heating mattress pad... Well, it was the heating mattress pad... virtually no heat toward end. Just finished removing and packing up for return. Very disappointed. Pain to re-do entire bed. Will now look for another manufacturer..and then re-do bed...again. I guess Sunbeam had lost its quality touch.

This is a wonderful product. Last year before I went to bed, I would turn on an electric heater to warm up my bedroom, which is usually 10 degrees lower than the rest of my house. But those heaters used up a lot of electricity and my bill was quite high. Having purchased the Sunbeam Mattress Pad awhile back I decided to try it this year. WOW - HAPPY I did. I am keeping my home at 62 degrees this winter to avoid the high electric bills. So 30 min before going to sleep, I go into my bedroom and turn up the pad to high. When ready to go to bed, I put on my flannel stuff, enter my cold bedroom, turn off the heating pad and pop into a very warm bed. My first electric bill was low and I hope I see that low charge all winter. This Sunbeam product is a great alternative to using room heaters.
