I've been using Superslick for decades on my trombones. I like the way it works to make the slides slide better. Relatively odorless and it cleans up easily.

This is Super Slick Trombone Slide Cream.It gives me very smooth slide action, much better than slide oil.A little dab will do ya, though. Too much would make the slide sluggish, I think.Watching a You-Tube video on how to apply slide cream helped me a great deal.One application lasts for weeks or even months.

Lost of stuff works, including certain cosmetics, but after elucidation by Donna Schwartz, I'm sticking to Super Slick. Yeah, I know, her expertise is sax, but her elucidation on using Super Slick is worth looking up on you tube.Wipe slide cleanApply light coat of Super Slick cream to stockingInsert inner slide and exercise slide generouslyRemove inner slide and wipe lightly with clean cloth reassemble and exercise slideSpray lightly with distilled waterRepeat as necessary
