Coil SumoSprings improve the load leveling ability of original equipment front and rear coil springs. Manufactured from micro-cellular urethane, the material’s progressive spring rate with superior damping properties creates a cushion effect, enhancing capacity and ride comfort. They install by simply being slid between the turns of the coil spring.

I installed these in my 2021 Chrysler Voyager van. I measured the spacing with the Suma template first, and ordered the right size per spring spacing. I tried installing first without jacking up the wheel. This was impossible. Once I jacked up the wheel, the Sumo easily slid into position. In about 20 minutes both tears were installed. Test drive didn’t notice a change. I then dropped on my travel trailer and put full tongue weight on. There was about 2” less drop, and that is what I expected and needed. The performance is good, the price is high. Having worked in the polyurethane industry, these are overpriced. I would have opted for air adjustable shocks, but my van no option exist. Long term performance of these is unknown, but polyurethane is durable. I expect these will last for years. I only recommend these if no other option exists.

Install was straight forward. I'm towing a 3200 lbs trailer with a tongue weight close to 500 lbs. Without this mod the rear sags about 3.5 inches, which is quite a bit. The headlights shine like high beams and the rear has a real risk of bottoming out. With the coil springs the rear drops about 3/4"-1". It handles virtually the same, not like I bought the Highlander for it's handling. I will say that these saved me from having to buy a pick up truck with the associated costs with mpg and vehicle reliability.

I drive a 2016 Toyota Highlander AWD (with tow package) and use it as a tow vehicle for a 3500 pound travel trailer. The Toyota does a nice job, however the rear suspension needs beefing up to prevent excessive sag. I tried the AirLift 1000 product which repeatedly leaked, and finally settled on these springs.Contrary to the Amazon advisory that “these do not fit your vehicle” I can attest that is not true.My local 4x4 shop installed these for about $100 with no issues. There is a slight lift (approximately 1”) with no load, and when towing I get about 2” of sag, which nets a total of 1” sag. The ride with or without load is excellent. Smooth, controlled and quiet.Best yet, these require zero maintenance, have a lifetime warranty. I could not be more pleased.

Installed on a 2022 Toyota Highlander AWD. These are the recommended part number by Etrailer and other online sources for our vehicle.Install is a breeze- jack up rear of vehicle under center of rear subframe so that wheels hang free and suspension is unloaded. Pull wheels off. Literally a 30 second install for each spring at this point- they slip right in.The 1145's did not have enough height to accomplish anything. In fact, with the suspension unloaded they were sloppy sitting installed in the spring. Needless to say, with weight back on the wheels they did not improve our situation at all. After seeing the 1145's in action (or lack thereof...) here is a tip- the CSS-1168's are the spacers you want. They are basically 1/4" higher, and take up all the slop that the 1145's had when installed. We took a chance, ordered and installed the 1168's, and now have some actual improvement in our 2022 Highlander. A separate review will be left for the 1168's after having towed our boat with them later this spring.Value? Ridiculously expensive for two pieces of injection molded rubberized plastic. I'd be shocked if manufacturing costs were more than $10 a pair for these things. Having said that, if $200 is all it takes to improve the stability and load carrying ability of our Highlander it will be well worth it.

I have a 2018 Highlander and pull a travel trailer with an equalizing hitch and tongue weight of 400 to 450 lbs. Purchased this to help shore up the rear end and help level it out under load. For that purpose these were not very effective when the trailer is attached. Only about a 1/4" improvement when loaded and for the money this was a bit disappointing as these are not cheap (there are others that are less costly out there but I paid more hoping for better results). On the positive side, this helps on the bottom end of the travel which is an improvement and also improves the ride when pulling with a drop hitch and a small landscape trailer. Install was surprisingly easy with springs unloaded and following the insertion directions. Does not make the ride harsh whether loaded or not.

Even though product wasn't specified for my model...it's the distance between unweighted coils that is important. Fit perfectly on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe xl. ( GLS model only ). Suggest to call manufacturer once you have the measurements. They will give you the exact model of spring for you.

The fitment is fine for our Toyota Highlander. At most we feel the rear spring rate has been increased and these keep the springs from bottoming out over the large bumps while towing. I take these out during the winter to avoid any damage from salt and brine solution they use on the roads. I would not expect to feel a huge difference especially if you have the higher spring rated 4wd springs and the towing package.

I own a 2012 Honda Odyssey that has been adapted with a lowered floor to make it wheelchair accessible. I bought the Coil SumoSprings to help the front suspension with the extra weight of the reinforced lowered floor and the over 600lbs of my power wheelchair. They worked well for this purpose. Installing them also had unexpected benefits. My Odyssey had a very rough ride over rough roads, potholes and train tracks. The Coil SumoSprings have made a huge difference in the ride tothe point where I no longer have to slow down over these obstacles. In addition, before installation I had to slow down significantly around tight freeway circular entrances and exits because of a good amount of understeer. The Coil SumoSprings has helped this condition making going around tight turns a breeze. It has been the best modification I have made on my vehicle.

According to Amazon, they stated that these these would fit a 2015 Toyota Highlander but would not fit a 2016 Toyota Highlander. My mechanic stated that if it fits the 2015 it should fit the 2016 and he was correct. Ordered a set and had them installed in about 30 minutes. No problems with the fit. Use lots of dish detergent and they slip onto the coils fine. They do help with the rear suspension when towing especially when the hitch weight is 400+ lbs.
