This was installed in conjunction with an existing wall switch that controls my bedroom ceiling fan.I was tired of having to get up in the middle of the night to turn off the fan when it got too cold, so now I just keep the switch at my bedside and use it as a remote control! It works great! The original wall switch that controls the fan also still works, so I can use that one during the day, then use the remote at night! No more having to get out of bed! (except to pee, but that's a whole different review.)(Disclaimer: I'm not an electrician, so just be aware of your local codes.)

The wall switch, which is actually just a remote, looks good. I’m not going to say the instructions were absolutely the clearest in the world, but if you have just a bit of electrical knowledge, you can figure it out easily. I use this for my wife’s jetted tub, the switch on the tub went out, and so I had to either replace that switch, which wasn’t going to happen for various reasons, or put in a new switch. This remote switch worked perfectly, and it is perfectly safe to have near the tub because there is no possibility of getting shocked. And it is very inexpensive, compared to the hundreds of dollars it was going to cost to fix the tub otherwise.

This works fantastically! We used this as a retrofit in an area with no switch wiring, and minimal access to the ceiling to retrofit. Took 15 minutes to add it in and has been working perfectly since! One thing to mention: the receiver unit does click when it engages and disengages. I didn’t take measures to secure the unit off of the ceiling panel when I installed it, so the click resonates lightly when it turns on or off. Not a major deal at all, but wanted to make others aware.

Easy to install, fit in the junction box without difficulty, performs well. Good solution to replacing a pull string light with a pendant.

This was the easiest remote switch install that I have used. Not having to connect online and pair the remote with the switch was a plus.

A couple minor negatives.1. The mounting hardware for the switch is junk. Screws are too small for the plastic inserts. Better off throwing these away and installing good ones.2. The switch is a momentary switch (meaning it returns to it center position after you activate it. Probably not an issue for most people. My switch is inside the front dooe to light up the patio lights. The lights are not visible from this location. There is no indicator on the switch either to give you an indication the lights are on or off. My location for the hardwired switch was in the patio, which I thought. made sense, but now 95% of the time, the patio lights are used to add addition light for people leaving at night (plus shows off the beautiful patio). My application may be more difficult than average. The electrical box the receiver fits into is metal, and the walls are all stucco (which has metal screening embedded in it). I used a plastic cover for this box, with the receiver next to it with the antenna towards the outside. Works fine. The distance between the switch and receiver is about 25 feet. The receiver has an antenna wire neatly wrapped around the perimeter in a groove. Initially looking at it, I didn't even notice it. I was thinking if I was not getting a signal, I'd drill a small hole in the electrical box cover and let the wire extend through it.One last comment. A person will need to determine which wire is the hot line, and which line goes to the lights. The appearance of the switch is very neat.

Easy to wire and works well! The wireless switch does not have to be line of site.

Had a handyman install lighting in a pantry. There's an open light switch on a common wall in the kitchen, so I thought it could be used. The handyman could install conventional hard wiring, but it was considerably more than using a wireless light switch. Works like a charm. Only thing to watch out for though, is the switch needs to be pressed rather sharply in order to function; more like a 'click'. More than once were the lights still on in the pantry until I figured to push the rocker switch a bit more firmly. As such I give it a 4 star rating, but that shouldn't discourage anyone from buying it.
