This product literally does not work. I made sure to connect it to a charger that can support laptop charging because I saw the reviews stating how the product doesn’t work, and thought it might have been an unsupported accessory, but no. This product is a waste of money! It does not charge my laptop. The light turns on indicating that it should be charging, but my laptop is unresponsive to this product. I made sure that this was the right charger too. Again, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT DOES NOT WORK.

Pleasantly compact and I'm using this for a dashmount application and the magnet is strong enough. After much research, it appears this adapter will work so long as it's fed by large enough power supply, nearly anything that is truly USB C. It needs 45W and I believe USB C supplies smaller than that have become rare. My hunch is the times it doesn't work is when someone is using a USB A power supply, with adapter cable to USB C, therefore power is limited to USB A specifications.

Once I found a port that had the correct output it worked fine. I will say the device gets substantially hotter than I had ever felt it before when I used the original charger. It is nice not having to use the bulky one included originally with my surface though.

The charger for my surface pro needed replaced and this was a great alternative to an expensive cord. It works with my USB-C cords I already have for other electronics. Saved me money and it works! Charging ability and fit were perfect. I didn't notice any slow down on charging time.

*worked great for ONE day! Doesn't light up or charge after first use.The charger that came with surface, was fine but my puppy chewed the cord. I got this adapter & what a great solution. Now I don't need a special cord, I can plug in the same cord for my other devices. Much easier to deal with. Thank you puppy 😀

After plugging into a charging brick that supports up to 160w output, this will give me a charging indication on the Studio 2 but, it states (weak charge state, check charging device) so don’t buy this expecting a maximum charging ability with a Surface Studio 2.

I like it very much as I can charge my Surface labtop by the same cord for my phone and Ipad. But it I needed to buy bigger plug charger 120w to provide the required power.
