The design is what drew me to buy this. The flat side gives you better clearance to punch the roll pin. The quality is solid. It's easy to use when you use the included pin starter punch. I really like the design on the storage pouch it came with. It's labeled and can be open and closed by Velcro. This item definitely give you value for money. I don't regret buying it, neither will you.

Love this set for being the proper tools for the job. When doing the roll pin start, remember, a little I'm Iube never hurt nobody. Wish the tweezer things were a bit more stiff and that it came with a mallet.

Most gunsmiths know these types of punches, but if you're new to building, you have to have these. They're shaped perfectly, especially for the hardest roll pin in the entire AR building process...the bolt catch release! They're perfect for new assemblies, and even more so for replacing the catch with something else once you've realized the mil-spec release is adequate but just not really practical. My friend who's been building for years bought this set on my recommendation and couldn't wait to tell me how better these were to use!

So, I snapped 2 sets of standard punch pins trying to get my stubborn BHO roll pin out.Searched the web and guys suggested dedicated BHO punch pins. This set took me literally 2 minutes to kick out the old roll pin and install a new one. 2 minutes.. where I spent nearly 2 hours breaking non dedicated punches and scratching up my rifle.This set is incredible. While I only used the roll pin punch and the roll pin starter punch, the other three starter punches are legit designed exactly what we here are all using them for.I’m very thankful I finally listened and got this dedicated punch pin set.Whether you are building OR (as in my case) swapping parts, this simple tool set is a life saver. And for its price, I am beyond happy with it.Save yourself time, needless damage and a headache and just get this set. Trust me, you won’t be sorry.
