Bought these for our small church P.A. system so we can use XLR-mounted slender gooseneck microphones instead of large and ugly floor-mount boom stands. There are more-expensive versions, notably some of those by Neutrik (tm), but the Switchcraft version is simple and secure. This three-hole version is easier to use than single-hole versions, which require a much larger hole.

It's a 3-Pin Female XLR Panel Mount Plug from Switchcraft. It did what I bought it for, to replace a bad unit. Nothing more need be said.
