Delivered in an incredibly well-packaged box, with foam and plastic wrapping in order to prevent each piece from rolling around in the box, or bumping against each other.The full mug and the extension to the wooden handle, as well as the lid, and the bulk of the infuser are all sturdy ceramic. I don't feel like I'm going to break any part of it just holding it in my hands and while the clinking of ceramic on ceramic experienced putting it together is always a little nerve-wracking, there have been no chips, cracks, or other signs of damage.The glaze job is absolutely lovely and well covered.The texture of the sculpting on the outside of the mug and the lid are clean and beautiful, with no uncomfortable or rough spots, if running your hands across it.The metal strainer in the infuser is thin enough that there are no tea leaves that are slipping through into the mug.The strainer is only on the very bottom of the infuser. This does not affect the steeping process, but it does mean that it takes a moment for the liquid to go through. If you push the infuser down into a very full mug, it will leak water around the sides of the infuser, between it and the mug, because the water is being displaced faster than it can go through the holes on the strainer. So lower it down in the water slowly, or pour your water on top of the leaves in the infuser.It is very easy to clean and while I have yet to with this cup, I have successfully run the infuser in the dishwasher from the larger cup of the same style, without any difficulty or damage. Supposedly the full mug is dishwasher safe, but I am nervous about the wood handle. The coating on the wood feels like it would likely hold up to it, but the point where the mug and handle meet has a small gap that I worry about water getting trapped in and possibly molding.The lid acts as a drip catcher and resting point for the infuser when your tea has finished steeping.All parts of the ceramic become very hot when the drink inside is still very hot.The wooden handle does not change in temperature at all, however the point where the ceramic is connected to the wood does heat up, so it's important to be mindful when picking up and carrying the mug after just filling it/ before it has cooled.Similar to the previously mentioned point, the lid will gather condensation from the steam of the boiling water. Take care in removing it so that it does not roll down the lid onto you. It's easy to avoid, but not something you'd think of until it happens.The handle on this, like with the larger option, is about a 3 finger handle, though something about this one feels slightly more comfortable to me? I'm not sure if it's the weight distribution because of the shape of the cup or if the tilt of the handle is slightly different, but regardless. It's good to hold.Having the lid off, to be used as a drip catcher, the drink will cool at roughly the same rate any uncovered mug would. That being said, if you have somewhere else to move the infuser, putting the lid back on will keep the drink warmer for maybe another hour or so. Don't expect thermos levels of keeping things warm as the ceramic will still leech the heat over time, even covered, but you won't have your drink exposed to open air, cooling it quicker.Full disclosure I am sampling this product for the seller, however, my review has not been affected by this. I provided my honest consideration of the product, as a frequent tea drinking and owner of a large number of things to drink it from. :)This being said, my communications with the seller have been very pleasant! They have been very polite and helpful throughout the trial process.tl;dr:It's a great mug with a good infuser that isn't going to leave a bunch of leaves in your tea.Ceramic gets hot when in contact with hot. Be careful.Dishwasher safe, though check and ensure water isn't collecting between the ceramic and wood of the handle.Infuser displaces water faster than it goes through the holes of the strainer. Lower it in carefully if the mug is filled, or fill the mug with the infuser already in it.Really all of my "cons" are either nitpicky or more so cautionary words for anyone who is unfamiliar with how the heat permeates the ceramic.

I love my new mug!! The craftsmanship is elegant, and the design is both cozy and functional. The balance of the handle is just right for a good pour, the base has a nice raise to it, and the glazing is really clean and well dipped. The walls are thicker at the base, which makes it feel sturdy in spite of the long handle. Even the inside of the basket is glazed, which is a nice touch and makes it easy to clean.I'm pretty picky about mug texture, and that's my favorite part of this mug: the black glaze is pebbled, and the blue glaze is smooth, and the ombre transition between them is flawless-- if you move your fingers up and down on the mug, you get that transitional texture sensation. Also, i love how smooth the wood of the handle is-- and yes, that's real hardwood, so no matter how hot your tea is, the handle will be cool enough to touch.One thing to keep in mind: if you raise up the basket to check the tea underneath, lower it back down at a slight angle so that the tea doesn't overflow the sides of the mug-- the fit is so good that it makes an air seal!The interior glaze is a cheerful, robin's egg blue, which sort of makes me feel like I'm seeing a patch of blue sky through a gap in the storm clouds, every time I tip the mug up.

It looked very nice from other review pictures and the product description. But the pictures I feel don't really do it justice. The ceramic is very smooth and the wooden handle feels great in the hand. The tea strainer part does great to steep your leaves without letting any drain into the cup. The packaging was great and was very secure to keep the ceramic from rubbing against itself and cracking. Now the body of The mug does get very hot when I put in the fresh hot water but the handle stays cool. The mug has a wonderful textile pattern and is very aesthetically pleasing. I purchased the smaller size with the pink and blue color though I may get a matching one in the larger size. Definitely one of the nicest mugs I've used in a while.

I bought this as present for Christmas. I love the design and the quality. It's also good as display if you don't want to use it. I will buy more different design. I love it

The cup is esthetically beautiful. It’s not flimsy and is a great concept. But there is residue from loose leaf tea that remains at the bottom of the cup after straining. So for that I have to give it 4 stars

Die Tasse ist wirklich wunderschön und wirkt auf mich sehr hochwertig! Die Lieferung war sogar schneller als angegeben. Alles war gut und sicher verpackt. Sogar ein kleines Silberpoliertuch war der Tasse beigelegt. Die Reinigung ist einfach, allerdings würde ich die Tasse aufgrund des Holzgriffes nicht in die Spülmaschine stellen. Auch das Sieb ist einfach zu reinigen. Alles in Allem bin ich mit der Tasse mehr als zufrieden. Und bei der schönen Optik schmeckt der Tee gleich nochmal so gut.

Terrific mug that looks good and makes infusing tea a more enjoyable experience. I was, however, expecting some silver on the deer and the moon according to other reviews which would have made the mug really stand out. It’s disappointing absense doesn’t retract from its function.
