I've been moving away from coffee as I get older, I don't like coffee with anything added to it, just straight black. My oral microbiome has started to not agree with it, and I'm left with that unpleasant "coffee breath".I have been moving towards tea, and after playing around with tea bags for a time, discovered the superior tasting loose leaf tea. So then infusers were another necessity. But now I've found this mug and it makes my morning tea a real delight to look forward to.I especially love how the lid can act as a coaster for the infuser once you've stepped your tea leaves, this makes it so much more convenient rather than lugging along another dish to place the infuser on.I've owned this cup for a month or two maybe, and accidentally dropped the lid on to my tile floor and it didn't survive the fall and shattered. To say I was bummed out is an understatement.Luckily I had been learning about the Japanese method of repair known as kintsugi, or golden joinery, and repaired it quite well, and now I actually love it even more!I liked it so much that I have purchased a second mug recently, so that if I want to brew a cup of tea for a guest and myself, we will each have these wonderful mugs!Yes, the infuser can get hot, right now it's not too big of a deal for me, my fingerstips have been building resistance the past couple of months, though I admit before they were acclimated, the infuser was very hot and I couldn't handle it and dropped it back in to the mug and then the tea overflowed. If it becomes a problem again, this is a very easy problem to solve by yourself in a variety of creative ways - totally a non-issue, imo.Wholeheartedly recommend this mug!

This is what you need if you are brewing loose leaf tea of any kind. Do not use the little metal ones with the holes. They are not large enough to allow the tea leaves to open up fully so you get a real brew. The leaves need space to open and steep. This cup is perfect has plenty of space for any loose leaf tea brew. Excellent product well made beautiful to look at.

The tea mug is beautiful! I wish it was a little larger but other than that it's perfect. The lid serves as a holder after your tea has steeped which is super convenient.

I really like this mug, it’s my all in one brewer and tea mug for earl grey when I’m at work. I just add hot water from the water cooler and we’re good to go. Love the colors reminds me of the misty mountains of Japan. Highly reccomend

I drink loose leaf tea almost everyday and I have a couple of different size pots, but I love this mug for when I just want a cup. The handle is really sturdy, the infuser works great, and I like using the lid to keep it hot while it's steeping. It's super easy to use. Just pour the water into the mug w/ infuser and then pull out the infuser - I usually set it right on the lid.

I got this as a gift for someone, everything looked good however once they opened the mug they realised there’s a crack going along the outside and inside of the diffuser. That’s quite disappointing and makes me concerned that it might break. UPDATE: After writing the above review, the seller got in contact and sent me another mug. Fast delivery/responses from seller.

The cup is lovely but it was displayed as coming with a coaster, which is why I decided to buy from this company rather than another company where it was cheaper, but it did not come with the coaster. The company said that I could return it, but that they did not have the one I ordered. They did not offer me any other option, or any money back. They have since changed the photos of the product and it no longer shows the coaster. I think I would not order from them again as there seems to be some misrepresentation of what they are selling. The cup is really very nice though.
