This dance appliance is precisely what I was looking for. I placed it with my barre in my studio. It is large enough that you can do a full barre. The surface is fine, as I no longer dance en pointe. If I were to, I would use a bit of resin as you normally would for pointe work at the barre. You could if you wished, place marley over it for additional cushioning, but the bottom surface will almost give you a sprung floor. It is quite well made and came carefully packed, with all corners fully protected with foam. The entire unit was packed in plastic sheet and the shipping box was very heavy card board. I think this will be fine for tap practice as well. I'm very happy with it.

She's 9 and has been dancing since she was 3. I have to admit she's very good for her age. She has won several competitions. She says this floor helps her practice with alot of her steps on certain dance styles. IE tap and a bit in ballet. So if she's happy I'm happy.Mike from Long Island

I purchased for my 11 year old daughter to practice tap. I gave it to her on Christmas. She used the board for a total of 30 minutes over 2 days. It snapped down the middle. Very poor quality that it cannot hold an 11 year old at 90 lbs

I’m a beginner tapper so it suits the need! Mine currently doesn’t take a beating so not sure on the durability of a super experienced dancer but for my flap-toe it’s great!!! 😜

This is exactly what my daughter needed to practice tap dancing in the house. It's a well-made piece that is a good size: not too big to take up too much room and not too small that it you can't practice properly on it. It has a nice foam structure on the bottom that allows you to practice on both hardwood and carpet. It's light enough to carry with one hand, but sturdy enough that it should last a long time. I think over time it will end up showing some scratching, but as a practice board this doesn't bother me. It is easy to set up (literally just place it down on the floor).The floor gives a pleasing sound when tapping on it. Great buy for the money!

This board is nice and big but seems to be cheaply made. It chipped in several places after the first use and the side is peeling. It’s been used normally for tap practice by one small child. Not too impressed.
