A squirrel landed on our glass rain gauge and broke it. We looked at gauges on Amazon and found a plastic one that fit perfectly. Thank you, Amazon!

The tube measures in tenths of an inch and is freeze resistant. It’s also nice to be able to measure more than 5 inches in case of heavy rain.

I received this less than 3 weeks ago to replace the original I had gotten as a gift. After a few nights in the 20s it cracked. I live in western NC at about 1800 ft of elevation so it's not like it's mid western cold. Very disappointed.

This rain gage tube fits perfectly in the stand that I have. I like that the numbers are in large print and that it is plastic, instead of glass.

The first tube was glass and broke quickly. This one seems much sturdier.
