My intended purpose for this gaff is to attach a landing net in the standard 8mm screw opening. I have lost fish by not being able to get them close enough to the boat or shoreline when landing them into my net. It is a multifaceted tool that I may use for other fishing circumstances/conditions such as saltwater fishing. The tubes are made of stainless steel with a non-slip comfortable foam grip.

This pole is strong and sturdy. It does not come with attachments, so you will need to buy the points separately. Each section of the pole that telescopes is strong and does not go weak with lower pressure. I have only used this on small to medium fish, and for fun with fruits and veggie heads. The handle is comfortable as well too.

I’m not using this as a gaff for fishing, but rather a pole the pull those items that are far back on my truck bed under my truck cover. It works really well and is lightweight and easy to store.

I was very pleased when I put this together. It is solidly built, looks great, and so easy to assemble. Once put together it can also retract to a much smaller size for travel. The handle/grip is comfortable. This can also be hung for storage when necessary. Now I just need to buy some screw in accessories for this!

I like that this pole is thickened stainless steel and therefore very sturdy. It has an 8MM female thread, the standard for many accessories. I tested it with a landing net and a harpoon, it is very sturdy in use.
